About MEDi 2008
________________________________________________________________________________________
BEACON has been actively involved in emphasizing the
importance of the medical device industry as an economic engine for the greater
Hartford region, the I-91 corridor, and the Northeast section of the U.S.
Through MEDi, BEACON assists companies in the Medical OEM Supply industry by
increasing their exposure to local medical device manufacturers in Southern New
England. Their opening event, MEDi 2005 featured exhibitors by 200 medical
device companies and medical device manufactures, and was attended by
approximately 2,000 individuals including academics and healthcare professionals
from 15 countries. As a result, BEACON is bringing back MEDi in 2008 to serve as
the Northeast conference and exhibition for the growing medical device industry.
The event will feature the leading and emerging designers, developers,
manufacturers and suppliers of the medical device and healthcare professionals
interested in optimizing the application of new medical devices. The educational
content will combine high quality scientific/research data with proven validated
industry case studies, clinical applications and networking opportunities both
in the conference session as well as on the exhibit floor.
